2nd Time Around & Still Love it
We cannot speak too highly regarding Cistus Cottage. It has been sympathetically restored, has a new bathroom, roomy kitchen well equipped, very pleasant lounge and bedroom and is very clean.
This cottage has the benefit of a housekeeper who is quiet and unassuming and will only pop in to say ‘hello’ but lives just across the road in any emergency. We have just returned from a second visit during Springtime and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful area of Delabole.

Self Catering Family Holiday In Cistus Cottage
Cistus cottage makes a wonderful base for visiting Cornwall it may be small but it has everything you might want for a holiday and copes with the four of us very well.
The kids love the quirky sleeping area, having stayed there quite a few times now they have finally sorted out the sleeping arrangements. Downstairs the lounge is cosy and has a great wood burner for those colder days. Outside there is a great garden with picnic bench and there was even a barbecue in the rebuilt outhouse. Out front the new patio area and bench provides a great spot to catch the sun whilst looking across towards Rough Tor. Delabole itself is only a short walk away with a great chippy, the spar which is a really good store and the Bettle and Chisel which is a really welcoming pub that has good beer and food.

A Taste of the Country
"Just a note to say how much I enjoyed a recent stay at your house in Delabole. I was there about twenty years ago, and it's just as lovely now as it was then. The weather was great, the lady that looks after the house couldn't have been nicer, and the cows in the field opposite were a pleasure to see. Many thanks"

Away from the "Rat Race"
"Our stay in the cottage was just what we wanted. A lovely, comfortable, peaceful place to stay close to some fantastic surfing beaches. Thoroughly recommend staying here if you want to get away from the 'rat race' and relax."

Some Quiet Time For Crafting
"The cottage was the perfect get-away for peace and quiet. There are coast walks and beaches to explore, local shops, and the always comforting open fire, with logs available very cheaply in the village, so you can stack up a roaring blaze every night. A lovely quiet spot, came home very relaxed."

Cornish Family Holiday
"Thank you for a lovely holiday. Rock Cottage was the perfect base for our busy holiday. Having a young daughter meant it was important for us to have things to do what ever the weather. A fun packed week staying in a very cosy cottage - lovely!" The Godden Family, Worthing
Rural Retreat
"A delightful cottage, away from the crowded town centres, but within a short drive of the North Cornwall attractions and close to Trebarwith Strand and Tintagel. The low beamed lounge, with a log burner in the proper inglenook fireplace, makes for a cosy restful end to days spent on the beach or sightseeing."
